"The time has come," the Walrus said, "to talk of many things:"

Of the 168 units at NCC approx. 97 are entitled to vote in the BOD election of January 2013. That dosen't mean they will. Recent elections have not gotten a great deal of response.

The greatest turnout was 12/8/07 with 39 votes, in 2010 there were 22 units voting and more recently 31 units voted in the 1/14/12 election.

Several times no election was held at the AGM and those then in office simply continued to serve as no other Owner had registered to contest the election. The coming election will probably find 25-30 units casting their votes for the 2 open Board positions. So perhaps 30 units of the 168 will decide who will run the condo in 2013.

In Mid-November notifications will go out asking for candidates for our 2 Owner BOD seats to register for the January election.

If you are interested in serving the community, you need to start making your plans now. The coming election will put into office people who will decide if Concord Management will have their contract renewed for another 3 years. The 2 now serving Owner Board Members are quite pleased with Concord and I am sure they will continue their contract.

If you want to make changes in our management company now is the time to decide to run yourself or to encourage other Owners to run.

Remember it would need 2 anti-Concord members on the next BOD to make any such change.
