In 2008 we supposedly got rid of American Utility Management (AUM) as our utility billing service. This because of inept and probably fradulent billings. This past week I had occassion to ask the City of PCB to provide our water/sewer bills.

They did send 12 pages via email attachment and I noted that the bills are still going to Oak Brook, Illinois, the home of AUM. A follow up phone call to the City got confirmation that the records were correct and bills we in fact going there.

I have put in an inquiry to the BOD via certified mail asking if we are still being 'serviced' by this 3rd rate firm.  It seems that we are and Concord did not in fact 'fire' them as they claimed in 2008.  I have also put in a FOIA request to the City for anything in their files about AUM/Concord, see a copy of the request at: http://aumsucks.freeforums.net/index.cgi

We are making some changes with the water billing system. As a result AUM zeroed out all balances. The property is not receiving/collecting the water/sewer payments. I have made note of the credit. In the future we plan to not have AUM as a billing system. Information will be going out to all Owners about this transition in the near future.
