Zoo World's New Year's Treat For Animals
Bay County- Zoo World in Panama City Beach had a special New Year’s treat for their animals on Saturday.
Bay County- Zoo World in Panama City Beach had a special New Year’s treat for their animals on Saturday.
Donated Christmas trees were covered with peanut butter, cheerios, and fruit roll ups as ornaments.
Presents were even put under the tree for animals to un-wrap and play with
Zoo World officials say that the purpose of doing this is to enrich the animals both mentally and physically.
Stephanie Willard, the director of education at Zoo World says that each year they always put donated Christmas trees in exhibits for animals to play with, but this year they're making it special.
"What we do usually is people donate trees and we'll throw them in and let the animals play with them. Big animals like lions and tigers like to rub on them to get the smells. Today, we're actually going to do some decorating and put some extra little treats on them," said Willard.
Zoo World is always in need of enrichment items for the animals such as buckets, colognes, cereal, and Christmas trees when they're available.

Time to change Venu for our AGM?
To contact us Click HERE
Initially (2007-2009) our Annual General Meetings were held at the PCB Senior Center, 423 Lyndell Ln but due to lack of interest in such meetings they reverted to the Clubhouse. The last 2 AGM's had more Owner interest due to the 'Turnover' of the Board to Owner majority, with 2 Owner members to 1 Developer member.
15 attended the 1/29/11 meeting and that was full capacity for the clubhouse, some had to stand. Despite requests for the AGM to return to the Senior Center the 1/14/12 AGM was also held at the clubhouse and of course it was packed with 21 people attending.
This year we will probably have at least the same interest as last year and it is time to go back to the Senior Center. The date of Sat. Jan 12, 2013 is available for rental of their smallest meeting room (accomodates 80 people) and the cost is $150. Perhaps we will be more comfortable this year than the last 2 meetings?

Over the past years I have had made up some sample decals, unfortunately they were a bit expensive, about $5 even when ordered in quantitites of 100. I have a few remaining 'Owner' decals which are suitable for placing on the inside of the windshield.
If any Owner would like one please let me know and I will send you one. I have 3 only, so first come first served. These do NOT replace the required decals - you still need one of those for the rear window of your vehicle.

Fish, Yes but 'No reptiles, amphibians or livestock'
To contact us Click HERE
Most residents already know that only Owners can have 'pets'. This is addressed in two places in the documents. Once in the Rules and Regulations p 2/3 and again on p 16/17 of the Declaration of Condominium which says "no pets of any kind are permitted in leased Units". The RR's say further no guests or tenants may have pets.
So if you are an Owner you can have 2 pets under 36 lbs each. So your pet chicken and your boa constrictor should be fine right! Sorry, no. the DOC goes further than the RR's and says "No reptiles, amphibians or livestock may be kept in the Condominium, even Owners are limited to "normal domesticated household types such as a cat or dog" and the RRs approve of birds and fish.
It is also noted that "the ability to have such a pet is a privilege, not a right, and the BOD is empowered to order and enforce the removal of any pet which becomes a reasonable source of annoyance to other residents. . ."

As poorly as Concord runs this place it has yet to get as bad as our ugly sister community Stone Harbor which is located about 2 miles from here.
They have the same builder and same layout as we have here at NCC. Their tenants are section 8 and other welfare types and while you see about six evictions a year here they run a routine 5-6 a month. Just so far this month they filed on: MATTHEW MALTAS, TONYA WARREN, NICOLE PHILBROOK, RICK SNOOK, and CRAIG KELLY.
If you want to see more info on this 'sister' community you can take a look at: http://stoneharborsucks.blogspot.com/. Concord manages about 140 residential complexes and most of them look just like Nautilus Cove.

It is also noted that "the ability to have such a pet is a privilege, not a right, and the BOD is empowered to order and enforce the removal of any pet which becomes a reasonable source of annoyance to other residents. . ."

Problems with Concord Management? Try the BBB!

Below is a post from over a year ago. Checking today on the BBB site shows that this 3rd rate management firm has dropped a bit in their rating. It is now only a B+ which is far above what they deserve. Not surprising is that 'Service' is their biggest source of complaints. If you check individual properties managed by Concord some get an F rating (ie: Heather Glenn Apts, Fort Walton Beach),
Reason for Rating:Factors that lowered Concord Management, LTD's rating include:
37 complaints filed against business
Sales Issues 1
Billing / Collection Issues 7
Problems with Product / Service 29
Complaints 37
* * * Below is the 'old' post * * *
Since bouncing complaints up the food chain at Concord produces no results you might consider that Concord Management, LTD, is a BBB Accredited Business since 02/01/1997. They have an undeserved A- rating and you can complain to the BBB about many consumer issues with Concord. Those renting from Concord will be best served by a BBB complaint, Owners might also give it a try.
Concord Management Customer Complaints Summary:
30 closed with BBB in last 3 years with 19 closed in last 12 months
Complaint Type
Advertising / Sales Issues 1
Billing / Collection Issues 7
Problems with Product / Service 22
The BBB is easy to contact to either file a complaint or look up their history of complaints. (online at: http://orlando.bbb.org/)
Once filed your complaint will be forwarded to Concord within two business days. They will be asked to respond within 14 days, and if a response is not received, a second request will be made. You will be notified of the company's response when receivedt (or notified that we received no response). Complaints are usually closed within 30 calendar days.

We enjoyed our stay at Celadon. The condo was very comfortable and clean. We attended the Seafood, Wine & Music Fest on Sunday evening. Grand Funk Railroad was awesome! The balance of the week was spent at the beach soaking up the rays … and eating. Our favorite restaurant is Boars Head. All the food is delicious – the Key Lime Pie is the best we’ve found.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful condo with our family. There are four in our family and we had plenty of room. We normally go to Destin for the week of Thanksgiving but we decided to try Panama City. We have really enjoyed our stay here. The weather was wonderful. We saw tons of sting rays, three dolphins and one large jelly fish. Our kids had a wonderful time playing on the beach. The temperature was an average of 70-75 degrees all week. We ate at Margaritaville – good atmosphere but don’t go there expecting seafood. Sharky’s was my favorite and the kids loved the playground on the beach. My husband liked the “all u can eat crab legs” at Dirty Dick’s but the regular menu items were a little pricy. We will be back hopefully in July, 2010. We look forward to it and trying Angelo’s Steakhouse and Captain Andersons.
Thank you for sharing your little piece of Heaven with us. Your condo was great, neatly kept and well equipped and just what we needed. See you again soon!

Panama City Beach – Northwest Florida in Frommer’s TOP 12 in the World for 2010

Panama City Beach – We have always known that our Panama City Beach Condo Reserve The Best Panama City Beach Condos for Your Beach Vacation is in a great spot. More and more travel guides are starting to agree with us.
Among worldwide favorites such as Copenhagen, Hawaii, and Melbourne Australia, Northwest Florida’s Beaches have been named in Frommer’s most recent list of Top Destinations.
Here’s what they had to say: Like the Rodney Dangerfield of the American Southeast, Florida’s panhandle never gets the respect it deserves. Dubbed the “Redneck Riviera” by dismissive northerners, northwest Florida, in fact, contains some of the most diverse recreation choices along Florida’s drastically under-appreciated Gulf coast, and some of the best options for visitors seeking an affordable family vacation.
From Destin to the west, where you can hire a fishing or sailing charter, to the smattering of National Seashores as you move east toward Panama City Beach, there’s really something for everyone. Seaside’s planned community is so “perfect” it was the setting for the The Truman Show, yet you’ll also find old-school Florida towns with funky shops, tiny hotels, pristine beaches, and the perfect cottage to rent.
“Stunning beaches, nature trails … great restaurants, and a cozy, yet quirky, sense of community.” — Lesley Abravanel, author Frommer’s Florida.
Come and discover Panama City Beach for yourself!

Fish, Yes but 'No reptiles, amphibians or livestock'

It is also noted that "the ability to have such a pet is a privilege, not a right, and the BOD is empowered to order and enforce the removal of any pet which becomes a reasonable source of annoyance to other residents. . ."
